Janet Leduc is President and lead consultant at Kinexus Consulting. Janet has worked in the government and not for profits sectors as both a manager and consultant for over 30 years.  Janet is bilingual, has a Masters in Canadian Studies from Carleton University, is a certified evaluation specialist, has a certificate in group facilitation and control self-assessment and has led courses in effective public consultation.  Prior to creating Kinexus Consulting Inc. Janet worked for ten years at the National Capital Commission in Ottawa as Manager of Heritage Programs, Manager in the Corporate Secretariat and as Senior Evaluator in the Audit and Evaluation Division. As Manager of Heritage Programs at the National Capital Commission, Janet was responsible Project for overall planning, site restoration and on-going operations at the Mackenzie King Estate and the Wakefield Grist Mill as well as interpretive programs on Parliament Hill and Rideau Hall. As Senior Evaluator at the NCC, Janet developed the evaluation framework at the same time staff created the celebrations for the 125th.  Key stakeholders participated in the development of the framework and collaboratively developed objectives, outputs and outcomes for the anniversary celebrations. This upfront planning process led to buy in from all the stakeholders and the framework provided a means of determining whether a particular event met the overall criteria of the 125th anniversary. The framework kept the team focused and eliminated the “nice to have” activities.  Janet later conducted an evaluation of the programming for the 125th at the NCC.
